After a prolonged dispute for mayor, the victory of Alessandra Rojo de la Vega in Cuauhtemoc was definitively validated by the Upper Room of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (TEPJF), which unanimously rejected the challenges presented by the former Morenoist candidate, Catalina Monreal.
“We ran a clean campaign,” said Rojo de la Vega in a video on social networks, in which he celebrated the validity of his victory in the elections of the June 2after determining that no political violence gender in the campaign period.
“The upper chamber has unanimously confirmed that we ran a clean and honest campaign that pointed out and criticized corruption without aggression,” he celebrated.

This morning, prior to the resolution of the TEPJF, Rojo de la Vega attended the transition house of the elected head of Government, Clara Brugadato deliver a letter in which he expressed his willingness to coordinate, cooperate and maintain a fluid dialogue for the benefit of the residents of the mayor’s office.
“We have come to deliver a letter to the offices of the elected head of government, to show all the willingness and will we have to coordinate, because that is what the neighbors ask for, to have 100 percent collaboration. I expressed it to him in my own handwriting, all the problems we have and how we must work together,” he explained to the media.

The letter was received and signed by the team of the next president of the capital for its eventual delivery.
“They are going to send it to you, they were very willing, which is appreciated. The idea is that we have the best government that the mayor’s office has ever had and to do so we have to coordinate with the three levels of government,” he mentioned.
