The Foreign Minister explained that, in response to the migration crisis in the region, Colombia has implemented both bilateral and multilateral actions, among which the operation of the tripartite mechanism with the United States and Panama stood out. This effort aims to address migration challenges in the Darien region, which remains one of the most critical points for migrants crossing north.
In addition, Murillo stressed that Safe Mobility Offices are being established in border areas, which offer support and guidance to migrants, promoting safe and orderly transit. He also mentioned that Colombia is collaborating with Mexico to address the growing flow of migrants transiting through the national territory towards the United States, a situation that requires joint solutions.
