Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP has commented that state reform is not possible by keeping the henchmen of Awami League government in the administration.

He made this comment at a meeting organized in memory of Shahid Zahiduzzaman Tanveer, who was shot by the police during the anti-discrimination student movement in Dakshinkhane in the capital on Saturday (September 28).

Rizvi said, fascist Hasina’s government took the lives of nearly 2,000 people across the country in the July-August movement. Those Awami League friends are still in the administration. Those who fired on the common people while protecting Hasina remained in power.

Therefore, this BNP leader has demanded the interim government to remove the fascist government’s allies from various government positions. He also claimed that no reform of the state is possible without the trial of the killers.

The senior joint secretary general of BNP said that the Awami League wanted to stay in power by taking away the voting rights of the people and becoming authoritarian and ultimately taking the lives of the students. Those who have the blood of common people on their hands should be judged first. Otherwise the martyr’s soul will not find peace.

Regarding Bangladesh’s relationship with neighboring India, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that everyone should respect Bangladesh’s independence and sovereignty as friends, leaving aside the nature of lordship.

Pointing out that the whole world boycotted Hasina’s vote, only India supported it, he said that the border between Bangladesh and India is the bloodiest. If India kills the people of Bangladesh, we also have the right to talk about Delhi.

Claiming that the days of bowing down to India are coming to an end, Rizvi said that the people of Bangladesh will never bow down again. At this time, Rizvi also urged the interim government to hold free, fair and impartial elections in the country after necessary reforms.

He said that Khatib of Baitul Mukarram is a kneeling man of Sheikh Hasina. He came from Gopalganj and tried to capture Baitul Mukarram.

At that time, local BNP leaders Kofil Uddin and Mostafizur Rahman Segun, Professor Saiful Islam spoke.
