An elderly woman died in Novosibirsk on Vokzalnaya Main Street because of a chair that fell on her from a window on the seventh floor. This was announced on Thursday, March 3, by the press service of the regional SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
The investigation established the alleged perpetrators of the incident – the tenants of a rented apartment on the seventh floor, writes “Moscow 24”.
On the morning of March 3, a man and a woman threw old furniture out of the window. One of the chairs fell on the head of an elderly woman born in 1941, who went for a walk with her dog. She died on the spot from her injuries, the website aif.ru writes.
The tenants of the apartment were taken to the police. A criminal case has been opened on causing death by negligence, Pravda.Ru notes. They face up to two years in prison.

In February, in Klimovsk near Moscow, three workers fell off the roof of an apartment building while clearing snow. Two workers died from their injuries. Another was taken to the hospital.
