Latvia will be represented by the same three crews that did it a year ago, taking fourth place on the Cingoli track in Italy. The victory was won by the Dutch national team.

Reinis Bicāns, Matīss Palēvics and Kārlis Neija will participate in the competition with quadricycles.

This is the first time the competition has been given this name, as it was previously called the European Cup of Nations. Therefore, motor sportsmen from the USA and Argentina will also participate in the competition.

“The World Cup of Nations will be our final competition this season. The world championship has just ended, and we are going straight to Loket, so we are physically and morally ready for this competition,” the Lielbarži brothers say.

They believe that with good starts and runs, the Latvian team can also fight for a place on the podium, because in this competition the other leading crews will have “cantetai” handshakes, which means that there are new teams that have not spent too much time together on the track before .

“We think that it will be an advantage for the Latvian team, starting the whole season in these formations,” believes Lielbārži. “We have raced on the Loketa track last year, so this track is not unfamiliar. We believe that the track will be handy for us, and with good starts we hope to win victories in our group races,” only the 18-year-old Lielbarži, who took second place in the world championship this year, express their hope.

The Motocross Nations Cup for crews will be held in Locket on September 28 and 29.
