Head of the Customs and Excise Facilities Division of the East Java II Customs and Excise Regional Office, Bakhroni, said that granting this bonded area facility permit is a concrete manifestation of the implementation of the trade facilitator and industrial assistance functions carried out by Customs and Excise.

“This permit will also be the second bonded area permit that the East Java II Customs and Excise Regional Office will issue in 2024,” said Bakhroni.

This permission was given after representatives of the two companies explained their respective business processes.

The presentation, which took place at the Media Center of the East Java II Customs and Excise Regional Office, is a stage that must be passed by the company with the aim of providing an overview of the business processes that will be carried out by the company and as a consideration in making decisions on permits for bonded zone facilities.

It is known that a bonded zone facility is a bonded storage area (TPB) for storing imported goods and/or goods originating from other places in the customs area for processing or combining the results for export.

Recipients of bonded zone facilities will get benefits in the form of time efficiency in delivering goods because they are not subject to physical inspection at temporary storage places (TPS) or ports, ease of fiscal facilities, and assisting government efforts in developing linkage programs between large, medium and small companies.

The convenience of the fiscal facilities in question includes suspension of import duties, no value added tax (VAT) and sales tax on luxury goods (PPnBM).
