(Web Desk) Renowned playback singer Waris Baig has said that Bollywood director Mahesh Bhatt apologized to him on a Pakistani TV channel for copying the lyrics of his popular song “Kal Shab Dekha Chand Jharoke Mein”.

Waris Baig recently participated in a private TV show where he openly discussed various issues.

Waris Baig said that he had become famous because of his audio albums even before playback singing in films, while after appearing in films, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan also sang many Punjabi and Urdu songs to him, but the lyrics of these songs were like this. Like someone is singing a Qawwali.

Waris Baig said that Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan had also sung songs for him in Indian films and he was proud to work with him.

During the program, Vaath Baig also revealed that in the 1990s and 2000s, several Bollywood films copied the lyrics of his Punjabi and Urdu songs, the song from the Mahesh Bhatt-directed film “Gangster”. “Lamha Huan Doori” is a copy of the lyrics of his popular song “Kal Shab Dekha Chand Jharoke Mein”.

The famous singer said that I had not taken any action to copy the song, but after some time, Mahesh Bhatt apologized to him during a conversation on the morning show of a leading Pakistani TV channel. The lyrics were given by a Pakistani artist and they did not know that the song was by Waris Baig.

Waris Baig said that he was happy that Mahesh Bhatt apologized and did not take any action against him.The popular song “Chanda Chamke” from Aamir Khan and Kajol’s film “Fana” is also a Punjabi song of his. However, he did not take any action against Yash Raj Films for copying the lyrics of his song in “Fana”, apart from this many other songs of his were also copied in Indian films.
