jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) is proposing regular 2025 Hajj costs with a composition of 70 percent congregation funds and 30 percent government subsidies.

According to BPKH Executive Board member Sulistyowati, the proposed composition is the same as last year. However, at that time the composition approved by Commission VIII DPR RI was 60:50

“The cost of the 2024 Hajj is Rp. 93.4 million, of which the congregation must pay 60 percent. This year, we are proposing that the cost of the 2025 Hajj is not far from last year, at most around Rp. 98 million because the DPR RI is reluctant to use 3 digits,” explained Sulistyowati in the forum. Sharia Finance and Economics Symposium held by the Indonesian Waqf and Zakat Journalists Forum (Forjukafi) in Jakarta, Thursday (26/9).

He emphasized the spirit of BPKH so that the pilgrims bear 100 percent of the costs of the Hajj, because the Hajj is only for people who can afford it.

That is why gradually the composition of the Hajj expenses paid by the congregation increases. The cost of the 2025 Hajj is 70 percent borne by the congregation until 100 percent.

“We hope that the DPR RI agrees with our proposal for a 70:30 composition,” he said.

He further said that the queue for the regular Hajj in Indonesia is quite long, up to around 20 years or more.

Amid the long queues for the Hajj, BPKH invites people to register for the Hajj at a young age. So that his physical condition remains in top condition, during the Hajj in the future.
