On Thursday, the administrative body of the Air Force Sports Club denounced the attack on the personalities of the members of the administration and defamation of them by one of the sports programs recently.
The administrative body stated, in a statement received by Agency, that there are some programs trying to undermine the club with a long history, which belongs to the Ministry of Defense, which has a proud history in modern Iraqi history, and is seeking to put the stick in the cupboard in order to obstruct the club’s progress after the distinguished results in the league. The Asian Champions League and the Iraq Stars League, which resulted in Al-Areq topping the league team standings with full merit.”
The administrative body added that it will take “all legal methods to block anyone who tries to harm the club and its stability, to end the strife that some people try to stir up from time to time for purposes known in advance.”
A number of fans of the Air Force Club attacked figures in the Air Force Department and insulted them on social media sites after the Air Force Club’s exit from the AFC Champions League and the team’s failure to qualify for the next stage of the Asian competitions.
