Geriatric rehabilitation classroom inaugurated in Álvaro Obregón

With an investment close to 230 thousand pesos, the mayor of Álvaro Obregón, Lia Lemoninaugurated the Geriatric Rehabilitation Classroom at the “Tolteca” Health Care Center, for care and improvement in mobility of older adults.

“Actions like this improve the quality of life of older adults, especially those who face a disability or physical alteration. We know that, for them, helping them regain their mobility is a way to contribute to their independence,” he mentioned, noting that 9 homes for the elderly are currently operating with almost 5,000 permanent users.

The classroom, with the capacity to serve 250 patients per month, has the following equipment:

* Therapeutic staircase;
* Physiotherapy stretcher;
* Therapeutic physiotherapy bars;
* Shoulder wheel;
* Table for hands; y
* Mirror for posture correction.

“We left this classroom open for the benefit of you so that you can access it and come to rehabilitate yourself here, I hope that this space will be very useful to you,” said the mayor.
