Watermelons fell in price by 22.6 percent and were traded at BGN 0.50 per kilogram on the exchanges in our country during the week, according to the data in the weekly bulletin of the State Commission for Commodity Exchanges and Markets (DKSBT). A large part of the vegetables monitored by the commission are also becoming cheaper.

The price of lemons is higher by 6.5 percent and they are traded at BGN 3.88 per kilogram. Peaches also rose in price – by 10.8 percent to BGN 2.33 per kilogram. Grapes are cheaper – by 7.8 to 2.21 leva per kilogram, as well as bananas – by 1.8 percent to 2.70 leva per kilogram.

Cow cheese is minimally down by 0.1 percent to BGN 11.29 per kilogram, and “Vitosha” cheese by 0.6 percent to BGN 16.79 per kilogram.

Yogurt (3 and over 3 percent fat content) increased in price by 6.4 percent and is bought at BGN 1.30 for a bucket of 400 grams, while fresh milk (3 percent fat content) became cheaper by 0.8 percent to 2. BGN 27 per liter.

The price of chicken meat rises by 0.3 percent and becomes BGN 6.41 per kilogram, and eggs (size M) – by 3.3 percent and they are offered at BGN 0.31 per piece wholesale.

Rice is more expensive by 1.1 percent and is traded at BGN 3.38 per kilogram, while lentils remain unchanged at BGN 4.40 per kilogram. Ripe beans became cheaper by 2.4 percent to BGN 4.20 per kilogram, BTA reports.

Sugar became cheaper by 2.5 percent and was traded at BGN 1.98 per kilogram. Oil also fell – by 2.3 percent to BGN 2.76 per liter. The price of type 500 flour increased by 0.6 percent to BGN 1.31 per kilogram. The price of cow’s butter (packet of 125 grams) also increases – by 3.2 percent to BGN 2.86 per unit.
