Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is keen to play three ODIs against Afghanistan to give cricketers a chance to prepare. Meanwhile, BCB has offered Afghanistan to host the series. The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has confirmed that it will inform the BCB to find a way to host the series.

Bangladesh will tour the West Indies in November-December. The two teams will play three ODIs and T20 matches with two Tests. BCB is keen to play three ODIs against Afghanistan before traveling to the West Indies. Because there are only three ODIs for Bangladesh before the Champions Trophy.

Bangladesh was scheduled to play an away series against Afghanistan in July. Where two Tests and three ODIs are scheduled to be played. But the two boards postponed the series to 2025. BCB President Farooq Ahmed has confirmed that the two sides have again discussed organizing the ODI series.

Farooq said, ‘We are trying to play three ODIs against Afghanistan. The series is likely to take place before the West Indies tour. In the meantime, we have discussed the series with the Afghanistan Cricket Board in Kuala Lumpur. It may be final in a few days.’

Meanwhile, Afghanistan Cricket Board Chief Executive Nasib Khan told Cricbuzz that they are waiting for the green signal from the country to host the series. He commented, ‘We are talking to BCB. If we get a decision from the country, we can decide what to do next.’ If all goes well, the series will be held in the UAE in November.
