A new study revealed an advantage in Alzheimer’s patients, after conducting experiments on mice.

The study suggests that people with Alzheimer’s are less likely to develop certain types of cancer.

The authors of the study from China noted a lower incidence of colorectal cancer among mice suffering from Alzheimer’s symptoms.

A team of epidemiologists at the First Hospital of Hebei Medical University in China presented experimental evidence of an inverse relationship between cases of Alzheimer’s disease and colorectal cancer.

In their study, published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Chinese scientists found that mice with Alzheimer’s-like symptoms were less likely to develop colorectal cancer, compared to control mouse models.
