In this regard, the president of the FNM, Mehdi Qotbi stressed that this exhibition once again demonstrates the close links between sport and art, noting that this artistic event is unique of its kind in Africa.

In a statement to the press, Mr. Qotbi highlighted the unique nature of the photographs exhibited, noting that this exhibition makes art accessible to all segments of Moroccan society.

For his part, the French ambassador to Morocco, Christophe Lecourtier, noted that this exhibition offers the opportunity to honor Moroccans with a great passion for sport, as well as all athletes.

The exhibition immortalizes great sporting moments treated from an artistic angle, he said.

For her part, the former Olympic champion, Nawal El Moutawakel, noted that this exhibition of unique photographs highlights the values ​​embodied by sport and aims to be a link between the past and the future.

This exhibition of 50 exceptional photographs highlights the feat of Nawal El Moutawakel and his coronation at the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 1984, the key moment when handball player Nikola Karabatic took the French team to the handball final played against Denmark at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, and the unforgettable performance of the Morocco football team at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, among others.

On the eve of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, this exhibition testifies to the richness of the partnership between the French Institute of Morocco and the National Foundation of Museums of Morocco which wished to join in the dynamics of the Cultural Olympiad, a set of artistic events intended to accompany the celebrations of the Olympic and Paralympic games around the world.
