jpnn.comBANDUNG – Bandung Police arrested six people in the case of beating the steward by Bobotoh – a Persib Bandung supporter -.

This incident occurred after the Persib Bandung vs Persija Jakarta duel at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium (SJH), Bandung Regency, Monday (23/9/2024).

The six Bobotoh individuals were named as suspects because during the investigation they were proven to have assaulted a number of stewards.

As a result, nine stewards were injured and were treated at Otista Regional Hospital, Soreang.

Bandung Police Chief Commissioner Pol Kusworo Wibowo said that based on the results of the investigation, the suspects carried out the beating triggered by a case of verbal abuse by the steward towards the female Bobotoh during the Persib vs Thai club, Port FC.

Under the pretext of solidarity with fellow Bobotoh, they then took action to take the law into their own hands by ganging up on the stewards on duty.

“The suspect’s motive was to express his disappointment with the steward who they received information from on social media that the steward had verbally abused female supporters,” said Kusworo in a press conference at the Bandung Police Headquarters, Thursday (26/9/2024).

Kusworo explained that the perpetrators of the beating had admitted their actions and were sorry.
