Kenitra: Various educational and fun activities at the 25th Cultural Stay dedicated to MRE children

In a festive and good-natured atmosphere, a delegation of journalists was able to discover and attend, on Thursday, at the socio-cultural center of the Foundation in Kenitra, workshops and various educational, musical and sporting activities relating to traditional dance, plastic art , theater, calligraphy, first aid and video games.

These activities aim to promote the development of children from the diaspora, while instilling in them in a friendly atmosphere the values ​​of solidarity, openness and interaction with other children from various backgrounds.

The Culture Stay is part of the Foundation’s programs aimed at preserving, strengthening and promoting the links uniting the Moroccan community living abroad with their country of origin. It also reflects the high concern with which His Majesty King Mohammed VI surrounds the MRE.

This cultural and educational event, which continues until August 20, will benefit 740 children aged 9 to 13, coming from various countries with the aim of actively contributing to strengthening the links of new generations of the community with their country. origin, and to offer children the opportunity to imbibe Moroccan cultural values.

In a statement to the press, Abdellah Grari, administrative executive at the Hassan II Foundation for Moroccans Living Abroad, said that this edition sees the participation of children from the diaspora from 17 countries in Europe and around the world. Arab, African and North American home to the Moroccan community.

And to explain that the category of targeted beneficiaries includes Moroccan children with a brilliant educational background, noting that access to the program is free and inclusive and gives particular interest to children from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds.

For her part, Fatiha Amellouk, director of the Art, Culture and Communication division at the Foundation, noted in a similar statement that “this edition is divided into 3 periods of 14 days, the objective being to introduce participants to intangible heritage Moroccan and allow them to reconnect with their original culture in a fun setting, through workshops, outings and visits to historical monuments in Rabat and Kenitra, evenings of dancing and singing.

Through various programs and initiatives, the Hassan II Foundation for MRE aims to support Moroccans in the diaspora, to strengthen their cultural and national identity and to provide them and their children with the necessary support in various areas such as education, culture, and legal, social and spiritual services.

Over a period of 24 years, the Foundation has achieved 90% of its planned objectives: Since the launch of the program in 1998, the Hassan II Foundation for Moroccans Residing Abroad has achieved significant successes, achieving a high percentage of its objectives and expectations in terms of number of beneficiaries.
