“Qadirbouh” discusses in Beijing the return of Chinese companies to work in Libya

The head of the Administrative Control Authority, Abdullah Muhammad Qadirbuh, held a meeting with representatives of Chinese companies that previously operated in Libya, at the headquarters of the Libyan embassy in Beijing.

According to what was reported by the authority’s official page on Facebook, the meeting focused on discussing ways of joint cooperation and reactivating the suspended projects that these companies were implementing in Libya before they stopped due to the exceptional circumstances that the country went through.

These projects and the mechanisms for resuming work on them were reviewed, the issue of compensation and contract settlement was studied, the possibility of compensating companies for losses or costs accumulated as a result of the cessation was discussed, and previous financial contracts were settled after reviewing and updating them and making the necessary amendments in line with the current circumstances, based on Law No. (2) of the year 2023 AD by adding some provisions to Law No. (20) of 2013 AD establishing the Administrative Control Authority.

The meeting also touched on future cooperation, by exploring new cooperation opportunities in reconstruction and infrastructure projects. Identify the logistical and security challenges and discuss how to provide a safe and stable work environment for the return of companies to Libya.

This meeting aims to enhance cooperation between the two sides, and advance development and reconstruction of infrastructure in Libya, while ensuring the interests of all parties.
