jpnn.comJAKARTA – A fire broke out at the Indonesian Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla) Building on Jalan Proklik, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Sunday (29/9).

The Bakamla building fire is thought to have occurred due to an electrical short circuit.

“The suspected cause is an electrical short circuit,” said Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Isnawa Adji when confirmed in Jakarta, Sunday (29/9).

The fire brigade team is still trying to control the fire so that it does not spread to other parts.

A total of 95 joint personnel and 19 firefighting units have been deployed.

These personnel consist of fire fighting units, Rapid Response Team (TRC) BPBD DKI Jakarta, Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), Emergency Ambulance (AGD) Health Service, Transportation Service, Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), PLN, and personnel Social Services and other stakeholders.

The fire report was received by the fire department at 06.25 WIB.

Meanwhile, blackout operations were carried out at 06.27 WIB.

The fire occurred at the Bakamla RI Building on Jalan Proklik, Menteng, Central Jakarta. This is the suspected cause.
