BNP standing committee member Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed said that military training will be made mandatory for all over 18 years of age if BNP comes to power.
He said, especially the students will be trained. Which is in many countries of the world. Every citizen of those countries undergo 1-2 years of military training.
Major (retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed said these things in a discussion meeting at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) auditorium in the capital on Sunday (September 29) afternoon.
The Nationalist Freedom Fighters Party organized the discussion on ‘What should be done by freedom fighters in the current political context’. Under the chairmanship of Muktijodha Dal President Ishtiaq Aziz Ulfat, Advisor to BNP Chairperson Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, Mukti Jodha Dal Zainul Abdin, AB Party Joint Member Secretary Barrister Asaduzzaman Fouad and others gave speeches.
Hafiz Uddin said, the hill people are simple. There is a conspiracy to mislead them. Due to the strong action of Ziaur Rahman, peace was established in the hills. I will tell neighboring country India, don’t provoke them with weapons and training. But all the people of Bangladesh are ready for war.
Regarding the last July-August movement, Hafiz said, only the students’ movement did not revolutionize. BNP has been agitating for 17 years. The dictatorship Sheikh Hasina has escaped due to that. I will say, remember everyone. Dr. Yunus is a freedom fighter. He spoke and worked for the liberation war in America. Decide by talking to all the students.
This former minister of BNP said, corruption is the disease of all of us. We have to take action against it. I can learn it from the neighboring country India. It is a law in their country that if the Prime Minister or President is found guilty of corruption, he can be removed from power and sent straight to jail. We also have to give that kind of institutional form. ACC needs to be strengthened. The Leader of the Parliament, the Leader of the Opposition and the Chief Justice will appoint the ACC Chairman. which is in India.
