The head of the Renaissance Civilizational Project and presidential candidate, Dr., said: Fathi bin Shatwan said that the Libyan people have lost their unity, pride and national dignity and are controlled by abnormal horizons from within and without.

He added in a lecture he gave about the civilizational project: “How can we, the Libyans, live when we have lost the dearest thing we own, the homeland, which is no longer ours… and we have become a toy in the hands of strange people who beat us against each other, and we fought and disintegrated, and hatred, exploitation, and disintegration took the place of respect, love, compassion, social justice, and national unity.” We were led by them like sheep on a pitch-black path in which we lost our values, our identity, our strength, our economy, and our dignity. We now lived in a weak, backward state with a collapsed economy.”

Dr. continued. Shetwan: “The time has come for us to identify our crises and work to get out of them… Dear brothers, this is a sterile conflict, disintegration and fragmentation, from which there is no way out except through national unity.”

He added: “It is the failed state and foreign hegemony, from which one cannot get out except by building a strong and independent national state. It is, brothers, economic and social backwardness, from which one cannot get out except through comprehensive, just and sustainable development. It is the control of weapons and money, which cannot be eliminated except with legitimacy.” Constitutionalism, through which we choose the best of our experience and capabilities to lead the nation… This, brothers, is exploitation and corruption, which cannot be eliminated except through social justice and the application of laws.”

Dr. continued. Shetwan: “It is cultural backwardness, loss of identity, and corrupt values that have penetrated our value system and which cannot be eliminated except through cultural renewal and preservation of identity, which is the balance between authenticity and cultural renewal.”

He concluded by saying: “They are all, dear sisters and brothers, the six pillars of the Libyan renaissance civilizational project.”
