jpnn.comJAKARTA – Candidate for Governor of DKI Jakarta number 1 Ridwan Kamil responded to a Poltracking Indonesia survey which stated that ethnic Betawi voters tend to support the RIDO pair.
In the survey, the Betawi tribe preferred the Ridwan Kamil-Suswono pair with a percentage of 48 percent.
The former Governor of West Java admitted that he was happy to know that the Betawi people preferred him and Suswono.
“What makes me happy is that people from the Betawi tribe actually chose RIDO, right?” said the man who is familiarly called Kang Emil in West Jakarta, Saturday (28/9).
According to Kang Emil, the native Jakartan understands that he cares about Betawi culture even though he is not a native Jakartan.
“This means that Betawi people also understand that whoever cares about Betawi culture, maybe that’s what they choose,” he said.
The former mayor of Bandung added that the DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election would be tight.
“That’s why Mr. Ariza to the team, don’t be careless. “Continue outreach to reach the community,” he said.
The former Governor of West Java admitted that he was happy to know that the Betawi people preferred him and Suswono.
