The Latvian crew, which starts with a “Ford Puma Rally1” vehicle, had an accident in the third stage on Friday and did not start in the next three stages of the first day, being in the 38th position at the end of the day.

On Saturday, six more stages were held, in all of them the Latvian crew entered the top ten, but in the 11th stage, the seventh best finish time was achieved. During the last two stages of the day, the track was covered in thick fog and rain.

Finland’s Kalle Rovanpere (“Toyota Gazoo”) rose to first place in the overall standings after the 11th speed stage, who kept the leading position even after the 12th speed stage. At the end of the day, British Elfin Evans (“Toyota Gazoo”) takes second place in the overall standings, losing 15.1 seconds, while Estonian Ots Tenks (“Hyundai Shell Mobis”) is 33.6 seconds behind the leader and completes the top three.

The Latvian crew loses more than 37 minutes to the leader.

On Sunday, the competition will end with four more speed stages. The race is broadcast live by the TV channel “Go3 Sport 1”.

Crews in Chile have to complete 16 stages with a total distance of 306.76 kilometers.

At the end of June, Ceska’s crew made their WRC debut, finishing fifth in Rally Poland. In July, in the first ever WRC stage in Latvia, Sesks was seventh, losing his place on the podium only in the last stage.

In Chile, Cesk drives an “M-Sport Ford Puma Rally1” car with a non-hybrid engine.

At the end of the season, there will be stages in Germany and Japan.

Finnish racing driver Kalle Rovanpere became a two-time world champion last year, securing the title one stage before the end of the season. Latvian ex-champion Rovanpere is not competing in all WRC stages this year.
