This Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility enabled a new platform to carry out apostille procedures and legalization of documents 100% online.

Complying with the announcements made by the Chancellor of the Republic, Gabriela Sommerfeldhe Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility enabled as of this Thursday, July 4, a plataforma 100% online for the apostille and legalization of documents.

In the first stage of the System, citizens will be able to access the apostille of university degrees, certificates of birthof marriage y criminal record.

The electronic apostille portal will allow procedures to be carried out completely online, without the need for a prior appointment and from any location.

This process guarantees security and efficiency by applying new tools for the protection of personal data. It is important to highlight that the online verification of the documents will be carried out through the use of QR codes y barcodes.

Users will be able to access the service through the page: Serviciosdigitales.cancillería.gob.ec

The cost of the service are as follows: $30 for apostilles y $25 for legalizationwithout VAT. Seniors will receive a 50% discount and it will be free for people with more than 30% disability recognized by the authorities. (ILS)
