Vice President Félix Ulloa presents the security model of the Bukele Government during the VII Forum in France

El Salvador is now a reference for security and peace. The Vice President of the Republic of El Salvador, Félix Ulloa, participated in the VII edition of the Normandy World Peace Forum, an event that seeks to promote international dialogue, raise public opinion about major global problems and contribute to the construction of lasting peace.

In a message transmitted virtually, Vice President Ulloa highlighted the security efforts made since day one by the management and comprehensive vision of President Nayib Bukele, confirming that: “the results are visible. Our country is now the safest nation in America, with a rate of 2 per 100,000 inhabitants in 2024,” the vice president emphasized.

Key issues such as tourism were also highlighted; the Special Law for Municipal Restructuring; as well as the co-responsibility between the countries of Central America, South America, the North with Mexico and the United States, to face the challenge of security and drug trafficking.

El Salvador, under the leadership of President Bukele, is now a model for other countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. The security and certainty that the country now transmits are unprecedented, and as the President said in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly: “Today, we are a refuge of security and freedom in a world that is increasingly losing its way. ”

Finally, the Vice President thanked the President of the World Forum, Hervé Morin; to state representatives; scientific communities; academics; and other participants for their interest in Latin America and the Caribbean, an indispensable continent in international relations. The General Director of Foreign Relations of the Vice Presidency of El Salvador, Mario Otero, participated in the VII edition of the Normandy World Peace Forum, as an official representative in this mission.
