The House of Representatives is moving forward to resolve the central crisis

Today, the House of Representatives will hold an official session in the presence of Council members, and it is expected to approve the agreement regarding the Central Bank of Libya.

In this context, Abdel-Jalil Al-Shawish, representative of the Supreme Council of State in the Central Bank Agreement, spoke to the “Ain Libya” network about this session, saying: “Yesterday evening, the Supreme Council of State concluded consultations and meetings between members, and they were positive, as 110 members agreed.” Out of 140, to support the concluded agreement, to move forward in resolving the crisis of the Central Bank of Libya.”

He added: “I am confident that the House of Representatives will move forward in resolving the crisis, and this is what became clear to me through negotiations with the representative of the House of Representatives.”

Al-Shawish continued: “The new governor will take over after taking the legal oath and the Board of Directors will be completed in order to resume work within the Central Bank and return the bank’s activity with all its administrations and communications with international institutions.”

Al-Shawish concluded by saying: “I wish the new governor success in overcoming the crisis, which will be reflected in the service of citizens.”

A few days ago, representatives of the House of Representatives and the Supreme Council of State agreed regarding the appointment of the new administration of the Central Bank of Libya, and the agreement stipulated the nomination of “Naji Muhammad Issa Belkacem” to assume the position of Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, and “Marai Muftah Raheel Al-Barasi” to assume the position of Deputy Governor, provided that They will be appointed within one week from the date of signing the agreement by decision of the House of Representatives.
