Kaspersky Says 11 Million Android Phones Infected with Necro Trojan, Check Yours

jpnn.comJAKARTA – Security company Kaspersky revealed that 11 million Android cellphones (cellphones) had been infected with the Necro Trojan.

Trojans are a type of malware that disguise themselves in legitimate applications or software on Android smartphones.

Currently, necro trojans infiltrate in a different way than before.

Malware is not only distributed through legitimate applications on the Google Play Store, but also modified versions of popular applications or so-called mod applications, to mod games.

The modified applications infected with Necro are Spotify Plus and WhatsApp Mod.

Apart from that, mod games such as Micecraft, and several mod apps from other popular games such as Stumble Guys, Car Parking Multiplayer and Melon Sandbox.

Kaspersky urges Android users to avoid mobile mod games.

Kaspersky also advises Android users to always download from official sources such as Google Play Store, Samsung Galaxy Store, and the like. (techcrunch/jpnn)
