Jaipur: A gang supplying girls for prostitution attacked the police on Saturday. The police retaliated in defense but the attackers fled. Later the police raided a hotel which had been converted into a prostitution den. Jaipur Police has arrested 7 girls and 3 brokers from that hotel. The police team had tried to catch this escort service gang by posing as bogus customers but some miscreants managed to escape by attacking the police. DCP Amit Kumar says that the people running the escort service gang have been found out from the 3 youths and 7 girls caught from the hotel. He will be arrested soon.
They used to call customers on the pretext of supplying girls and then rob them.
This gang of escort service has been active in the area for the last several days. On Friday, two youths had called a girl through escort service. Some brokers had come in a car to supply a girl. Meanwhile, the suppliers beat up both the customer youths and snatched the money. Both the youths were beaten severely by the brokers. The condition of a youth is critical who has been admitted to a private hospital. It was through this incident of assault that the police got information about the escort service.
Police posing as bogus customers: After taking information about the brokers from the youths injured in the fight, a team of Karni Vihar police was made bogus customers. The police team contacted the brokers through WhatsApp. Told about sending two girls. Brokers sent photos of girls on WhatsApp. After the deal was finalized, the police team in plain uniform started waiting for the girls and brokers. On Saturday, around 4:30 in the morning, a car arrived in which some brokers and two girls were present. During this time, the brokers attacked the police team mistaking them for customers and tried to rob them. When the police tried to nab them, they hit the police car with their car and started running away. The police also fired in the air but the miscreants managed to escape. At some distance, the police found the miscreants’ car parked abandoned and it was confiscated.
Three brokers arrested, search for others continues. DCP West Amit Kumar said that after receiving the information, the police raided Hotel Umrao Haveli. The brokers had made this hotel their hideout. Hotel manager Vivek Dhabhai and receptionist Sonu Kumar Bairwa were detained. Later, when the hotel was searched, 7 girls were found in different rooms who were called from different states for prostitution. Along with this, a broker Soriful resident of Assam was also arrested. Vivek Dhabhai, Sonu Bairwa and Soriful were arrested. During interrogation, it was revealed that this escort service gang is run by Kamlesh Sharma, resident of Kamla Nehru Nagar. Deepak Meena, Pradhan Gurjar, Mukesh Chaudhary and Kailash Chand are also included with him. The police is busy searching for these miscreants.
