Deputies elect TSE magistrates

The deputies of the Legislative Assembly elected the new magistrates of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) for the period 2024-2029.

The selected magistrates are Roxana Seledonia Soriano de Viaud, Francisco Rubén Alvarado Fuentes, Cecilia María Marroquín Castro, Karla Cecilia Guandique de Miranda and Sofía Guadalupe Paniagua Meléndez. Each of them will assume a crucial role in overseeing the upcoming electoral processes.

In addition, the Legislative Plenary appointed the substitute magistrates: Karen Elizabeth González de Girón, René Amílcar Claros, Irvin Antonio Castillo López, Mario Antonio Alas Ramírez and Francisco Fernando Molina Castro. These substitute magistrates will be available to guarantee the continuity and correct development of the functions of the TSE.

In this same session, Roxana Seledonia Soriano de Viaud was sworn in as president of the TSE, a position she assumes with the responsibility of directing the next elections for deputies, mayors and presidential elections in the country.
