It has become known that nerves are the cause of most diseases, and it turns out that sesame is effective in calming the irritated nervous system.
Dr. Marina Makesha, a nutrition expert, points out that sesame strengthens the nervous system thanks to it containing a high percentage of magnesium. The results of many studies have shown that during periods of stress, humans lose a high percentage of magnesium. In addition, magnesium participates in processes that help combat anxiety and nervous tension.
According to her, sesame contains, in addition to magnesium, vitamins of the B group – B1, B2, B3 and B6, which are necessary to protect and restore nerve cells and improve the psychological state.
Sesame contains fatty acids, including monounsaturated fats, polyunsaturated fats, antioxidants, dietary fiber, calcium, and vitamin E. It also contains panthenic acid and folic acid, which gives it high nutritional value. But it must be consumed in moderation (three tablespoons of sesame provides the body with a good percentage of its daily need of these elements) because it is rich in calories.
