Placed under the theme of Jewish-Moroccan cuisine, this 3rd chapter aims to highlight the diversity and plurality of the Kingdom’s culinary traditions, indicates a press release from the organizers.

This prestigious event sponsored by chef Guillaume Gomez, Ambassador of French gastronomy in the world and Philippe Faure, former Ambassador of France to Morocco and founder of the world gastronomic guide “La Liste”, will bring together around forty international chefs and around thirty personalities, cooks, pastry chefs, producers and other enthusiasts serving gastronomy, who will be inducted as new disciples.

The day of December 2 will be marked by the organization at the Museum of Culinary Arts in Marrakech, of a producers’ market during which show cooking will be provided by pairs of Moroccan and foreign chefs as well as a traditional Jewish-Moroccan evening at the Movenpick, we read in the press release, indicating that the induction ceremony of the new Escoffier Maroc disciples will take place on December 3, at M Avenue.

The organizers have also scheduled for the same day, a visit to the Meydene immersive tour, a digital exhibition space dedicated to the history of the ocher city before a lunch at Douar, the Moroccan restaurant on M Avenue.

For the Gala evening on Saturday, the Escoffier Maroc disciples association is joining forces with the Oriental Fashion Show for an exceptional evening dedicated to Moroccan excellence.

Leader in oriental fashion, the Oriental Fashion Show has organized, under the direction of Hind Joudar, for nearly 20 years, large-scale fashion shows in around fifteen countries around the world.

The evening will begin with a caftan parade by designer Fatima-Zohra Filali Idrissi who created an exclusive collection around Judeo-Moroccan culture, followed by a gala dinner at the Palace Es Saadi, concocted by 10 chefs from Morocco, Israel and elsewhere.

Created in 1954 in Villeneuve-Loubet, the birthplace of the famous French chef, the Disciples d’Escoffier International association aims to transmit to new generations of cooks and gastronomes the spirit of this chef’s work, and therefore to promote respect for gastronomic culture, the search for improvement in discipline, the transmission of gastronomic and culinary knowledge.

The association now has more than 40,000 followers in more than 38 countries and is the largest gastronomic association in the world.

Morocco joined the International Association in 2020 under the leadership of Agadir-born chef Lahcen Hafid with this desire to anchor Moroccan gastronomy in the pantheon of world gastronomy.
