The President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele, and his Argentine counterpart, Javier Milei, signed historic agreements to strengthen cooperation in security, nuclear energy and the economy, marking a new stage in relations between both countries.

This meeting marked a milestone, since it is the first time that a Salvadoran leader made a State Visit to Argentina. The meeting was accompanied by the signing of a series of strategic agreements covering key sectors such as nuclear energy, culture, sports, airport infrastructure and water resources management.

As part of the event, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Alexandra Hill Tinoco of El Salvador and Diana Mondino of Argentina, signed a Joint Declaration to formalize the commitments made. This document highlights the importance of cooperation between both nations on issues of economy, security, culture and the development of nuclear energy.

Among the most relevant agreements is the development of joint initiatives in nuclear energy, a strategic area that seeks to promote technological innovation and improve energy efficiency in both countries.

Likewise, projects were agreed upon in the field of culture and sports, with the aim of promoting cultural and sports exchanges that strengthen ties between Salvadoran and Argentine societies.

Another key point of cooperation is collaboration in the creation of an airport hub, which will improve connectivity between both countries and enhance commercial and tourist exchange. In addition, the agreement includes the management of water resources, a crucial aspect for environmental sustainability and rural development in the two nations.
