(Web Desk) It has been announced that senior Bollywood actor Mithan Chakraborty will be honored with the biggest “Dada Sahib Phalke Award” of Bharti cinema.

Indian Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vishnu shared the news of awarding Mithan Chakraborty with the “Dada Saheb Phalke Award” on X (Twitter) and said, “I am proud to announce that the Dadasaheb Phalke Selection Jury has decided to award the legendary actor Mithan Chakraborty with the Dada Saheb Phalke Award.” He will be honored with Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his outstanding services in cinema.

Ashwini Vishnu further wrote in his tweet that Mithan will be honored with this award at the 70th National Film Awards ceremony on October 8.

Mithan Chakraborty while speaking to the media after this announcement said that I have no words to describe how I feel, I can neither laugh nor cry, I have come from the streets of Kolkata, I cannot think. I was very happy that a boy from such a place would be honored with such an award. I dedicate the award to my family and fans.

It should be noted that Mithan Chakraborty has acted in hundreds of Indian films and his film journey is still going on. He has been a part of Indian cinema for 48 years after starting his film journey with the film “Marigya” in 1976, the first to earn 100 crore rupees. Mithan Chakraborty also has the honor of giving an Indian film when his film “Disco Dancer” created history by doing business of 100 crores.
