BEIJING. The annoying sequel to the Clostebole case did not distract the world number 1. Janik Sinner beat the Czech Lehecka in two sets (6-2, 7-6), earning access to the semi-finals of the ATP tournament in Beijing, of which he is the title holder.
In the semi-final he will find one between Rublev and the Chinese Yunchaokete Buwhile the other semi-final will see Medvedev and Alcaraz on the field.
It matches. Jannik appeared solid and focused from the start. In the fourth game of the first set he got the break, consolidated in the following round of service. At 5-2, Jannik found a second break, taking advantage of his opponent’s uncertainties on serve. At the second set point, Sinner passes.
