jpnn.comSERANG – Serang Police has deployed eight personnel to serve as personal guards (walpri) during the 2024 regional elections.
These escort facilities are provided specifically to pairs of candidates for regent-deputy regent of Serang.
Serang Police Chief AKBP Condro Sasongko said eight personnel had been deployed to serve as walpri.
“So, for each pair of candidates, both serial numbers 1 and 2, we have prepared four candidates,” said AKBP Condro to JPNN, Friday (27/9).
Condro explained that the personnel assigned to be walpri have several skills.
“Expertise, of course they carry out training first to guard the candidates for regent and deputy regent of Serang,” he said.
“They master martial arts, tactical and shooting skills,” he added.
Apart from having expertise, said AKBP Condro, Walpri is equipped with weapons to always be ready when guarding.
Serang Police has deployed personnel with special skills to become personal bodyguards (walpri) for regional head candidates.
