Eva Meidel, Member of the European Parliament from the EPP/GERB group, was elected as the Vice-Chair of the European Parliament Delegation for relations with the United States.
“Europe will increasingly need partners in the world, both on topics such as technology and security, and conversations on these topics will become more and more complex. That is why I am glad that my colleagues have given me this confidence,” Meidel said after her election. We have important strategic goals that can be achieved to a large extent only in cooperation with the United States, she added.
Eva Meidel is a third-term member of the European Parliament from the EPP/GERB. She is the vice-coordinator of one of the most important committees in the EP – Committee on Industry, Research and Energy. He has a focus on digital transformation, innovation and entrepreneurship in his work and brings this experience to his new role. As Vice President, she will work to strengthen transatlantic relations, promoting cooperation in areas such as technology, trade, security and shared democratic principles.
