The Government Council approves a draft decree creating new circles and caïdats
Rabat – The Government Council approved, Wednesday in Rabat, draft decree No. 2.24.461 creating new circles and caïdats, presented by the Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit.
This draft decree intends to create new administrative units by introducing the necessary amendments to the table annexed to decree No. 2.15.402, indicated the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas, during a press briefing following the Council.
It aims to improve the management capacities of the territorial administration in the two prefectures and provinces concerned, to support its administrative organization and to support their demographic, social and urban development, in each of the prefectures of Fez and Meknes and provinces of Khénifra and Zagora, thus bringing the number of circles from 212 to 213 and the number of caïdats from 727 to 729 at the national level, said Mr. Baitas.
