Through a message on his social networks, López Obrador mentioned that law enforcement rescued several families who were trapped in their homes due to the floods in Acapulco.

“The Army, the Navy and the National Guard rescued many families who were isolated in their homes due to the floods in Acapulco,” he declared.
Likewise, he said that in this first stage lives were saved, but that, unfortunately, 8 people died.
“This first stage allowed us to save lives and we only regret the loss of eight people due to landslides due to the intense rains,” he revealed.
Finally, he explained that several shelters and kitchens have already been installed to receive people who need to take shelter after the passage of ‘John’, in addition to food supplies being distributed.
“Fortunately the water is now receding and aid to the victims will continue. The same in the Costa Chica, the Montaña and the Costa Grande. “We never leave those who need us alone,” he added.
