Radio France Internationale: Haftar continues to sell oil outside the official framework

by times news cr

Radio France Internationale reported that Haftar and his son Saddam are continuing to sell oil exports despite declaring their bankruptcy and entering a state of force majeure.

The radio added that the money that Haftar’s family earns from selling oil does not pass through the Central Bank of Libya.

According to the radio, the money is deposited in accounts in the United Arab Emirates or elsewhere before being transferred to Benghazi.

In the same regard, the Italian newspaper Corriere di La Serra said that Haftar, amid the crises the country is going through, is not standing idly by while thinking about new siege plans for Tripoli, relying on distracting the West’s attention in the midst of crises regarding the wars in Ukraine and Gaza, it said.

The newspaper referred to what was reported by specialized agencies regarding a recent local private company called Arkno (established in 2003) shipping quantities of oil extracted from the Sarir and Masla fields abroad, and “this is the third shipment in a row amounting to one million barrels, achieving about 240 million dollars.”

A few days ago, the “Africa Energy” website, citing sources it described as reliable, said that the “Arkino Oil” company, which was established last year in Benghazi, exported 5 shipments of oil during the last period despite the announced oil closures.

In the same regard, a recent report by the Oil Price website said, “The Haftar clan is busy making oil money through the private company, Arno Oil, which is allowed to bypass the blockade and export oil to international markets freely.”
