The creation of an online platform for business is an important step in the development of bilateral economic relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

As Day.Az reports, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan told Trend about this Laziz Kudratov.

“This platform will provide entrepreneurs with a number of advantages, including simplifying trade operations and increasing business visibility. It will create a single digital space for trade transactions, which will facilitate the process of buying and selling goods and services,” the minister noted.

He emphasized that special attention will be paid to supporting small and medium-sized businesses that will be able to use the platform to enter international markets. In addition, the platform will facilitate the launch and implementation of joint projects in industries such as energy and industry.

“We plan to launch this platform in the near future, which will significantly increase the volume of bilateral trade and take our economic relations to a new level,” added Laziz Kudratov.

It should be noted that from January to July 2024, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan exceeded 118.2 million US dollars.

Uzbekistan’s imports from Azerbaijan during this period reached $18.6 million, and the country’s exports to Azerbaijan amounted to $99.6 million.
