Although Al-Zawraa won over the Bahraini team, it bid farewell to the Asian Championship after the Lebanese Al-Ahed team achieved victory over the Syrian Al-Fatwa team. Thus, the Lebanese team qualified at the expense of Al-Zawraa, which would have qualified if the Lebanese Al-Ahed and Syrian Al-Fatwa match had ended in a draw.
