As already reported, the 29th annual conference and general meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors is being held in Baku on September 29 – October 2.
As Day.Az reports with reference to Trend, on the 3rd day of the event held at the Baku Congress Centerabout 500 people from 95 countries took part in it.
As part of the event, bilateral and multilateral meetings were held between representatives of the prosecutor’s offices of different countries. In addition, various plenary sessions and networking meetings were held.
A special session was also held dedicated to October 1 – the Day of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the 106th anniversary of the formation of the prosecutor’s office.
Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev, who spoke at the session, noted that today Azerbaijan celebrates the professional holiday of prosecutors and the 106th anniversary of the formation of the national prosecutor’s office. The national prosecutor’s office, founded by a decision of October 1, 1918 as part of the Baku District Court, has gone through a difficult, but at the same time glorious path of development over its more than century-long history.
President of the International Association of Prosecutors Juan Bautista Mahiquez, speaking, noted the successful reforms carried out in the prosecutor’s office of Azerbaijan and wished success in the implementation of important tasks.
