The brand will dispose of many of its current models in a new range restructuring that will happen very soon. The same anonymous source admitted this in his interview with the aforementioned newspaper: “All the current models are under review. “It’s a continuous process of examination.”

Mercedes will recover with some of its models
So far, the brand’s well-known plans have stated that both the Mercedes A-Class and B-Class will disappear from the map around 2026 with no direct successor in sight. This is because the brand does not see it as profitable to create two electric successors for these cars, since their respective prices would not be competitive within the sector. Of these, mind you, is the so-called ‘250e’ plug-in hybrid engine.
Soon these two compact models will join the two Mercedes GLC Coupé as the GLE Coupé. The reason for this is that the brand wants to do without the majority of the derivative models they produce today. In this way, the money that can be saved will go directly towards the development of new electric models.
This decision would surprise many followers of the brand, since both models are among some of the most watched in the list of Mercedes products. If this move is officially confirmed, the brand will dispose of two more models with plug-in hybrid technology. However, even if these two bodies disappear, the GLC and the GLE with SUV bodies would still be available; In fact, it is more likely that both are also 100% electric versions.
