The Department of Medicine and Public Welfare today released a report on the current state of corona infection in Tamil Nadu. Accordingly, 292 people have been diagnosed with the disease in Tamil Nadu in the last 24 hours. While 320 people were confirmed infected yesterday, today it has dropped to less than 300. This brings the total number of corona confirmed persons in the state to 34 lakh 50 thousand 333.
A maximum of 83 people have been confirmed infected in Chennai today. Infection has been confirmed in 43 people in Coimbatore and 34 in Chengalpattu. No new cases were reported in Ariyalur, Dharmapuri, Kallakurichi, Karur, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam and Pudukottai districts.
Today 778 people have been discharged after treatment in a single day. As a result, the total number of people recovering from corona in Tamil Nadu has increased to 34 lakh 8 thousand 373.
One person has died today from a corona virus infection. The death toll from the corona has risen to 38,010. There are 3,950 people in treatment across the state.
