A number of workers may have the opportunity to get rid of credit debts and find a more profitable job.
The social movement “Trud” with the support of the National Association of Professional Collection Agencies (SRO “NAPKA”) launches a program to help people reduce their debt burden.
According to the statistics of recruitment agencies, every third potential employee has overdue debts on credit obligations. According to Alexander Safonov, a professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, in 2021 a joint study by the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and the Trud public movement showed that more than a third of candidates for an open vacancy were turned down due to overdue debts to banks. Employers are afraid that people with debts can more easily succumb to various corruption schemes. Social activists, together with NAPKA, have developed an information platform, the purpose of which is to expand the availability of jobs for Russians with loan debts.
How will it work? The information platform acts as a link between employers and creditors. With the consent of the employee or candidate for the position, the employer, on behalf of the creditor, signs a debt restructuring agreement with him. To cover it, they will deduct part of the money from the salary. Payments should be comfortable for the borrower employee and preserve his real disposable income. Lenders receive guaranteed payments, and the employer provides employees with an additional benefit that will minimize the cost of repaying debts.
