In the final declaration which sanctioned the 11th Session of its Board of Directors, the Association also welcomed the constant position of the Heads of the OIC Member States towards the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
In this sense, she strongly condemned “the cruel acts committed by the Israeli forces against the inhabitants of Gaza, which constitute a serious violation of international laws and conventions relating to human rights”, expressing her “firm solidarity with the residents of the Gaza Strip facing continued aggression and systematic violations of their rights.
The Association further called on the international community, including all OIC Member States and other global entities, to take immediate and concrete measures to demand Israel to put an end to these inhumane acts and to comply with international laws and customs, with regard to the treatment of Palestinians and the granting of large-scale aid to the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip, in particular the reconstruction of houses and the recovery of groups destroyed by the occupier.
She also urged all relevant international bodies to intensify their efforts in monitoring and reporting human rights violations in Gaza and to prosecute those responsible for these heinous acts.
The Association also reiterated its commitment to promoting peace, justice and human rights for all, and to continuing to work for a world in which such atrocities are not only condemned, but also banned. .
The final declaration also urges the international community to take all necessary immediate measures to resolve the crisis in Gaza and protect the Palestinians.
