National conference of Catholic doctors – Health and Wellbeing in Ascoli Piceno

(ANSA) – ASCOLI PICENO, 01 OCT – From Thursday 3 to Saturday 5 October the 28th national congress of the Association of Italian Catholic Doctors (Amci) will be celebrated in Ascoli Piceno entitled: “Masters of Humanity: Doctors facing the Challenges Contemporary”.
The congress will begin on Thursday 3 October with the Eucharistic concelebration in the cathedral of Sant’Emidio, presided over by Cardinal Edoardo Menichelli, Amci national spiritual assistant. The Ventidio Basso theater will then host the speech by Cardinal Giuseppe Versaldi, prefect of the Congregation for Catholic Education, Grand Chancellor of the Pontifical Gregorian University on the theme of “The Declaration of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith Dignitas Infinita: Doctrinal contents and dialogue with the science”.
The works will begin on Friday 4 October in the Sala della Vittoria of the Civic Art Gallery and will include five round tables that will address various topics, from “Violated Human Rights” to the “Doctor-Patient Relationship”. Taking part will be, among others, Msgr. Massimo Angelelli, director of the Health Pastoral Office of the CEI, and Filippo Boscia, National President of the Amci.
Among the topics that will also be addressed is the “Regionalized Health System: Inequality in Care”, with a lectio magistralis by Mariella Enoc, former president of the Bambin Gesù Pediatric Hospital and one of the leading experts on the subject, and a report by Filippo Anelli, president national team of Fnomceo.
A session dedicated to “Hyper-technological Medicine in the future of the Human” is planned, a topic that will be treated by Benedetta Giovanola, full professor of Ethics University of Macerata, director of the 1st European Chair of Ethics for an inclusive digital Europe, by Gaetano Scamarcio, director of the Institute of Nanosciences of the Cnr and Professor of Experimental Physics of the University of Bari Aldo Moro, and by Bruno Dallapiccola, scientific director emeritus of the Bambin Gesù Pediatric Hospital – Irccs.
