Advertising master Niclas Matthei is now taking RTL to task. He takes action against a contribution from the broadcaster.

Niclas Matthei is better known as the advertising master. The 18-year-old from Gräfenhainichen in Saxony-Anhalt gave himself this title. The reason: he hunts down traffic offenders and, according to his own statements, has already placed 10,000 reports. As Matthei recently claimed on RTL, he already has a seven-figure sum in his account. After his interview, however, he now criticizes the station for its reporting.

In a new Instagram post, Matthei shares an RTL Facebook post with a teaser for the joint interview. It says: “Niclas Matthei (18) likes to report sinners on the road on his own initiative – and becomes extremely rich. How? RTL followed up.”

However, in response, Matthei now makes it clear: “No, I won’t become extremely rich because of this.” He “doesn’t earn a cent” by reporting illegal parking. “But thanks for the fake news, I’m used to that,” he writes.

In the RTL article itself, unlike the Facebook teaser, it said that Matthei earned his money as an independent entrepreneur in online marketing as well as through club appearances and advertising collaborations. As an employee, he also receives income and occasionally compensation for pain and suffering.

Many of his followers are now reacting to the advertising master’s current post. “Are you now considering legal action against RTL?” asks one user, but receives no answer to the question. Others also joke: “I’m in a no-parking zone right now” and “I’ll park wrong tomorrow.”
