This new certification “Organization Innovation Certificate (CInOrg)” constitutes international recognition of ICESCO’s efforts and a testimony to its pioneering achievements in promoting innovation and supporting young people in the countries of the Islamic world, through the launch and the implementation of innovative programs and projects meeting the aspirations of these countries, indicates a press release from the Organization.
This announcement was made by ICESCO Director General Salim M. AlMalik, who was speaking during the opening session of the first day of the 3rd ICESCO Conference of Ministers of Education, organized on 2 and October 3 in Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman, in cooperation with the Omani Ministry of Education and in coordination with the Omani National Commission for Education, Culture and Science.
On this occasion, Mr. AlMalik expressed his great pride in this achievement, saying that this certification clearly demonstrates ICESCO’s commitment to integrating innovation into all aspects of its work, from policy formulation to the implementation of programs and initiatives on the ground with its Member States and partners, with the aim of achieving sustainable development.
ICESCO obtained this international certification after a rigorous and in-depth evaluation of its innovation policy, its methodology for executing innovative programs and their impact on its member states. This assessment, conducted by representatives of the Global Innovation Institute, confirmed that ICESCO meets the standards of the “Organization Innovation Certificate (CInOrg)” certification at the “Champion” level.
In this regard, ICESCO also organized a training session for the “Certified Innovation Professional” certification of the Global Innovation Institute, underlines the press release, noting that this training, lasting five days, benefited 26 experts and members of the general administration staff of the Organization.
This training aims to strengthen their skills in innovation management, including modules on creativity techniques, effective brainstorming strategies, structured phases of innovative projects and the use of data to guide decision-making. She also discussed the key roles of innovation managers to lead projects and form coherent and creative teams, notes the same source.
