Jeonbuk Self-Governing Province signed a business agreement with the Financial Supervisory Service, the Provincial Office of Education, and the Mayor’s Council. Through this agreement, Jeonbuk Self-Governing Province plans to utilize the financial education content and programs of the Financial Supervisory Service to strengthen customized education for residents such as students, youth, and the elderly, and the Office of Education and cities and counties will also actively participate to improve the financial capabilities of residents.

In the future, the four organizations plan to cooperate and promote projects such as strengthening practical financial education for youth, operating a customized financial counseling program for Jeonbuk youth, operating a financial academy for residents, strengthening the financial education capacity of elementary, middle, and high school teachers, and strengthening financial fraud prevention education.

In relation to this, Jeonbuk Self-Governing Province decided to prepare a specific implementation plan to smoothly promote the cooperative project and establish and operate a 6 to 8 experiential financial education course for elementary, middle, and high school students.

In addition, for the youth, we plan to provide various financial information contents to participants in provincial youth policy projects, and for the middle-aged and elderly, we plan to tour cities and counties to provide special financial lectures and financial fraud prevention education.

In addition, the Jeonbuk Self-Governing Province and the Financial Supervisory Service shared a consensus on the need for financial education for youth in relation to social issues such as damage to young people from poverty and increased debt, and the two organizations decided to organically cooperate in the future to promote various policies.
