The Minister of Public Works, Romeo Herrera, together with FOVIAL authorities, supervised the progress of the paving project on the street that leads from El Cebillo to San José El Naranjo, in Ahuachapán Sur.

The project includes the paving of 8 kilometers, from the Litoral highway to the San José El Naranjo canton.

“It will guarantee the mobility of the agricultural, commercial and tourism part. It was a road that for years they promised they would pave and they never did,” Herrera explained. In addition, the minister pointed out that there are 16 kilometers of longitudinal drainage that are being built on the sides of the road.

“There are also passage works that are being developed in the paving project between El Ceibillo and San José El Naranjo, in Jujutla, Ahuchapán Sur,” the official mentioned.

Herrera highlighted that local jobs are being generated, where once the work is completed, they will have an adequate and dignified street for all families in the sector.

The director of FOVIAL, Alex Beltrán, assured that in addition to paving the road with modified asphalt designed for this area, they will build drainage, rainwater collectors and protective walls.
